Can I evaluate a product for free before purchasing it?

Yes, when you download the official Docker image all enterprise features are enabled. The trial expires after 5,000 builds at which point you must purchase a commercial license.

How is the software distributed?

Software is available for download from Dockerhub.

After I purchase a license, do I need to reinstall the software?

There is no need to reinstall your software. Your existing installation can be updated by copying your purchased license key and passing to the server.

Limits

How does Drone count users?

Drone counts the number of users in its database (select count(*) from users). A user entry is added to the database during the login process, when a user links their source code management account (e.g. their GitHub account) to Drone.

What happens if we reach the user or repository limit?

Drone displays a warning in the user interface when you exceed the user or repository limit. The system will continue processing builds but will block you from adding additional users or repositories until resolved. If you reach a limit, please contact the Drone team and we can help you upgrade your plan. Upgraded plans are pro-rated based on the number of days remaining in the current billing cycle.

Payments

Which payment methods are accepted, and what are your payment terms?

Drone accepts credit card payments (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, DinersClub or American Express) using our secure online checkout forms, hosted by Stripe.

After an order has been placed, how and when can the license key and source be accessed?

Access to your license key(s) and any applicable source code is provided only after the successful receipt and processing of your payment. Once payment is received, the license keys are email to the Billing and Technical contacts specified on the order.

Can I get a refund, exchange or upgrade after purchasing a server product license?

Yes, you can request a refund or exchange/upgrade of your commercial license up to 30 days after the original date of purchase. After the 30-day period, standard pricing for upgrades will apply and exchanges/refunds will not be available.

Can I sign up for automatic renewals?

Yes, payments by credit card automatically renew to ensure your organization doesn’t experience any service interruptions.
